Unique Flower Pots

Flowers are one of the good things about summer. To add flair to your beautiful flower garden, if you happen to visit a garage sale, look for unique and interesting stuff that you can use as flower pots. We found some stuff at the garage sale that we can use:

1. the milk can- $10, painted it yellow and planted with mixed flowers

2. a coal bucket - $1, planted with lollipop daisies

3. an old broken torchiere lamp - we pulled from our basement, took the base/stand off and stuck it in the ground and planted lavender petunias.

Cool and unique flower pots don't have to cost a lot of money.
Be creative! Don't be afraid to be different and make your flower garden look like no other!

I love your flower containers. It's very refreshing to see someone your age who loves bargain shopping. I travel around the USA full time in a motor home and the first places I seek out in any new town are the thrift shops.
This week I found a beautiful dress to wear to a semi formal awards dinner for $5.00 and a bag of yarn which totaled more than $50.00 for only $8.00. I'll use that to crochet fashion scarves for one of a kind girls like you.

I feel blessed to have a wife who likes to bargain shop. Not only because it saves us money but also because her way of thinking sees value and beauty in things that others have dismissed as useless. It seems America has become a "throw-away" country and Aimee's love for such unique trinkets and clothes makes her all the more beautiful to me.

You are really creative! I think that bargain hunting and re-using are skills that we all would do well to learn. Especially in this recession.

I look forward to reading more about your great ideas, and I have recently started following you. I would appreciate if you could follow me as well. Check me out: http://www.awkwardyoungwoman.blogspot.com
Thanks a bunch!
