Store Brand Baby Formula Wins a Final Round in Court

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of storebrandformula.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

“There are no better formulas. Only more expensive ones.” That caption quoted from storebrandformula.com proved to be true when store brand infant formulas won a major victory on April 20, 2011 against Enfamil maker Mead Johnson. A U.S. Circuit Court upheld a $13.5 million false advertising claim against the latter.

The successful argument by PBM Products, Perrigo’s store brand infant formula business, was that Enfamil’s advertisements of superiority to store brand formulas were false and misleading. In fact, store brand formulas offer the same nutrients at the same levels as Enfamil. But despite having twice been restrained from disseminating misleading advertising, Mead Johnson continued to do so which made it hard and unfair for PBM to compete with Mead Johnson unless and until Mead Johnson stops infecting the marketplace with misleading advertising.

"The Court has made it clear that national brand and store brand suppliers are entitled to fairly compete and advertising abuses will not be tolerated," said Perrigo Chairman and CEO Joseph C. Papa in a statement. "We also appreciate the Court's recognition that PBM could lawfully compare its products to national brand products." For more information visit Bloomberg Businessweek .

After checking with our pediatrician, we switched from a national brand product to a store brand formula. Our pediatrician assured us there are standards to which all baby formulas need to follow in the way of nutrients and vitamins. Our 11 months old son has been drinking store brand formula since he was 4 months old. It helped us save a lot of money. And I can tell you he is as emotionally, mentally, and physically strong and healthy as any other baby drinking national brand products.

He started crawling at 6 months, and started walking at 10 months and hasn't had any illness or ear infections except for a one day fever when he was teething and a one week cough and cold last winter.

I am so thankful for store brand formulas. It helps our family and other families save on costs plus it doesn’t compromise the health and development of our baby because it has the same nutrients as national brand products. If you are still not using store brand formula head on over to storebrandformula.com where you can learn a lot of good information about it. It might be time to decide on switching to store brand  formula and save a lot of money

Shoe Style Saturday and Featured Blogger

I am so thrilled I got picked as the Featured Blogger of the week for The Perfect Line's Friends Meetup Party. Thank you so much Mehreen for choosing me! Please come and visit her cool site and join the party. Have fun!

Friends Meetup Party - the perfect line

Every Saturday, Living Outside the Stacks hosts a fun meme for shoe lovers. Since I am a shoe addict I was so thrilled to join. It is always fun to see other kinds of shoes.
Here's my shoes for this week.
Photobucket
I bought these from Amazon.com last year. They are a Michael Antonio Women's Galon Platform Pump. The only thing I don't like about them is the zipper on the left shoe. It is strangely hard to zip up. They are okay for dancing, but not for long hours. But all in all, I heart these red shoes.
So far I have worn these only 2 times (maybe because I don't go out much or get dressed up often). Once for our Christmas family photo.
Photobucket
The 2nd time was for a girl's night out.
Photobucket
And here's all our shoes that night.

A big thank you and congratulations to my blogger friend Marie at To Make a Rhyme. I am so ecstatic! This is my third award! Woohoo! Something about myself: I am the kind of person who dreams of the future but lives for the moment. I am very spontaneous and impulsive at times. But I can also be very patient.

I would like to pass this on to so many other bloggers deserving this award, but I only have very little time. For now I would like to give this award to the following(in no particular order):

Tina at a.k.a Gramma!
Shaeeza at My B Words

Wordless Wednesday with Linky - Twins

If you have been following my blog, a while back I wrote about how I need super powers because I was babysitting my friend's 8 month old baby. Trey was just 9 months old so basically it seemed like having twins. It turned out very very hard. What was I thinking!? I had even agreed on babysitting Xander for 7 weeks! Trey is so possessive and didn't want me holding Xander. Trey is loud when he plays, especially when he is in his house (his territory) and Xander is scared of loud sounds. They cried at the same time and tried to outdo each other by crying louder than the other. We didn't survive. I ended up only doing it for 7 days. I can't even imagine how families who have twins or multiples even made it through. Maybe it would have been easier if both babies were my own?

Keeping Your Relationship Fresh

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TwoOfUs for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Everyone has relationship questions. All our friends and certainly members of our family have advice they are more than willing to give us. But do we always want to go to them? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place we could go with our relationship questions and get advice without having to endure the subtext given to us by close friends and family?

The good thing is there is an awesome place to go to for all our relationship questions if we don’t want to confide to our friends or family about our situation. Twoofus.org has tips on keeping your relationship fresh.  They have advice about relationships of any type. Whether we are dating, exclusive, engaged, married, and/or parents. The site offers great articles, hot topics, additional resources, quick polls and even featured videos to help us out in keeping our relationship fresh and the best it can be.

The site has this great video of award winning actor and best-selling author, Hill Harper http://www.twoofus.org/educational-content/videos/hill-harper-the-conversation/index.aspx. He talks about throwing a conversation party in which the people will anonymously write any questions they have and put it on a hat and let everyone answer all the questions. This way they can share and learn different views from each other. Also, it benefits for a better face to face conversation which is not found in the popular social networking nowadays.

It is an awesome site to follow and don’t forget to click “like” on their Facebook page. This way, you can always stay up to date and current on their latest and hottest topics.

Do you have any relationship questions like me? I would like to know too. Please leave a comment below and share.

Shoe Style Saturday

Every Saturday, Living Outside the Stacks hosts a fun meme for shoe lovers. Since I am a shoe addict I was so thrilled to join. It is always fun to see other kinds of shoes. But since I am so busy working on my part time job on weekends I did not get the chance to join until today I finally had the time to write my post in advance.
This is one of my favorite pair of shoes. I bought them online at MakeMeChic.com.
Photobucket

Ok I admit they are not the most comfortable shoes. They are best worn if you don't have to walk or stand for long. I only wore it twice. On my friends bachelorette party.
Photobucket
And on my 4th wedding anniversary. I have to ask my husband to take off his shoes so I will look as tall as him on this picture.
Photobucket
Of course my little one wanted to show his shoes too.
Photobucket
These shoes are all given by my sister and mom and in-laws. I guess I have a mini me shoe addict except he just likes shoes for biting.

Wordless Wednesday with Linky -Meet our pug Mango

Today I am late putting up my photos. Good thing I have my kids and my computer not cooperating as an excuse.
I want to introduce you to our family's best friend. Meet our pug Mango.
He wasn't sure at first the first time he came home and joined our family. He was so timid and so tiny. Look how tiny he was,3 years ago.

Before we knew it, he grew up into a handsome teenager.

What did you do for Mother's day?

I did nothing for the most part of the day(which is what I wanted to do). I slept till 3 in the afternoon. I had a crappy night at work the night before, I was so tired when I got home. Then they took me shopping,(which is my favorite thing to do). I hope everyone had a beautiful Mother's day yesterday. And I want to share a photo of me and my amazing Mom. She came to visit us last winter. I miss her so much!

Being a mom is not for wimps. Thank you Mom for being patient with me. I love you!

Q1. Is there really a such thing as a 'perfect' mother? What is your definition of one? A perfect mom for me is somebody imperfect but loves, supports, and encourages her children to be the best person they could be.

Q2. What famous person must have had a great mother?Probably me because I have a great mother and I am famous in my own family. Haha!

Q3. What kind of mother's or what mother would you like to have a talk with to give some direction? Those mother's who are having a hard time and need some help.
